Role Overview:
We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with a KS3 student with autism. This full-time, long-term position begins in September 2024 and involves providing specialized support to help the student excel both academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a KS3 student with autism.
- Adapt learning activities to meet the student's individual needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitor the student's progress and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children with autism, particularly non-verbal students.
- Strong understanding of SEN best practices and strategies.
- Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a related field are highly desirable.
