What You'll Do:

As a Graduate Trainee, you will receive comprehensive training that introduces you to the intricacies of commercial claims handling processes. During this training period, you will have the chance to gain valuable work experience while initially providing essential support to our Claims team in managing claims related to Commercial Motor Insurance. Our team handles a diverse range of claims, catering to clients that span from small businesses to globally recognised corporations.

Your Responsibilities:

Claims Handling: On the job training will be provided to take initial notifications from clients, how to set up new claims and guidance on determining the right course of action from start to finish. You will be negotiating with Insurers and co-ordinating and providing support to clients. Your role will be to ensure that clients are kept fully informed during the claims process, their expectations are managed, and assistance provided to them, to agree settlement.

Data Management: You will play a crucial role in inputting and analysing claims data, which includes creating and producing reports. Your ability to delve into data, analyse it effectively, and ask critical questions will be key to ensuring that we derive maximum value from this information. You will have the opportunity to propose innovative solutions and enhanced procedures for the benefit of both our company and our clients.

Adaptability: In the fast-paced world of claims management, the ability to work with precision under pressure and adapt to changing priorities on short notice is essential. You'll thrive in an environment that challenges you to perform at your best, even when faced with unexpected shifts in focus.

What you will learn:

  • IT systems including Acturis, MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Insurance Law and Legal Understanding of claim assessments and decisions
  • The UK Insurance Industry
  • Knowledge and understanding of International Insurance Programmes
  • Analysing data to highlight trends and anomalies to assist our clients to manage their risks and exposure.

  • Organisational skills and techniques
  • Confidence to maintain and build relationships internally and externally.
  • Claims servicing from start to finish.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications:

  • Recent graduate (within the last 2 years).
  • Must have achieved a GCSE Grade B or above in Maths and English Language.
