Business Development Manager, Edinburgh - Data & Analytics / Business Intelligence IT Professional Services: £70,000 OTE + Benefits (incl. 5% Pension + Bupa).

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing and supported by an established marketing function and working closely with pre sales consultants, you will prospect and develop relationships with potential customers and partners, qualify and penetrate accounts and develop a strategy to demonstrate the "value proposition". Established contacts in the sector would be an advantage.

You will be tasked with the commitment to a drive towards innovative professional services solutions, continual service excellence and commercial awareness in order to increase the profile and commercial performance of the key partners established.

Our client is an international consulting company specialising in the supply of professional services delivering Data Engineering, Analytics and Business Intelligence solutions.

Experience & Essential Skills:

The successful candidate for this position will have 5 years+ proven track record in professional services solution sales and experience in using a value-proposition driven sales methodology.

  • Strong ability to cold call, make new connections, and secure new business meetings.
  • Excellent networking and influencing skills.
  • Client-focused approach with a keen understanding of client needs.
  • Effective negotiation skills and a commercial mindset.
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in managing the sales pipeline and using Salesforce.
  • Excitement for technology and data, with a collaborative work style.

You will be a polished communicator, determined, highly motivated and keen to rise to the challenge that this exciting opportunity presents.

Hybrid wfh / Edinburgh regional HQ, you will have a geographical remit covering Scotland+ and therefore mobility and flexibility is essential.

OTE:- £50-70K; these figures can vary depending on the exact level of experience and proven success in similar roles. The typical base salary is around 60-70% of the OTE, with the remainder being commission. The commission model is straightforward, based on revenue generated.
