Educational Behaviour Support Officer

LTF Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Educational Behaviour Support Officer for a large secondary school in Waltham. This role is perfect for someone with a background in childhood studies, psychology, or a related field who is passionate about supporting students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs. If you have experience working in a secondary school setting and have a keen interest in promoting positive behaviour and academic success, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide targeted behaviour support to students with SEMH needs in a large secondary school environment.
  • Work closely with the SENCO and other school staff to develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Support students with special educational needs (SEN), ensuring their inclusion and participation in school activities.
  • Use your expertise in childhood studies or psychology to understand and address the underlying causes of challenging behaviour.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support for students.

Requirements:

  • A background in childhood studies, psychology, or a related discipline.
  • Experience working with SEMH students in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong understanding of behaviour management strategies and techniques.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team to support students with SEN and SEMH needs.
