Our client is looking to recruit a Finance Manager (CIMA/ACCA/ICAEW) Reporting directly to the Finance Director as her number two you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, tracking performance, and preparing financial statements. You will assist in supporting the businesses growth, and ensure profitability by delivering timely, accurate financial reports.
Key responsibilities of the Finance Manager:
- Maintain and record accurate financial records
- Improve financial systems and procedures, identifying opportunities for improvement
- Responsible for reporting management accounts and year end processing
- Produce monthly accounts in a timely manner, providing clear and relevant analysis and narrative.
- Assist in preparing the annual budget and recurring re-forecasting processes.
- Maintain the financial plan to ensure a timely and accurate re-forecasting process.
- Manage the income reconciliation process, developing and maintaining a robust system to ensure all income recognised in the financial statements is received.
- Lead, mentor, and guide accounting team members to foster a high-performing team.
- Deputise for the Finance Director when required.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Finance team, ensuring tasks are assigned and completed within specific timeframes.
- Oversee Risk Management and Compliance responsibilities, including preparing and submitting VAT returns to HMRC, filing regular reports to the FCA, and reviewing monthly payroll
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, accounting standards, and company policies, staying up to date with industry, compliance, and regulatory developments.
- Oversee the annual audit process to ensure efficient execution, maintaining clear communication and regular updates with all stakeholders.
