Summary of the role

This is a brand new role to ensure that all commercial aspects are managed effectively, both in terms of suppliers delivering value-for money services as well overseeing all contractual and commercial aspects with clients.

As Head of Procurement, you will manage and lead the Procurement function, oversee and optimise the procurement process within Diligenta, develop strategic sourcing plans, negotiate contracts and managing supplier relationships, ensure procured services meet regulatory standards and match client contract obligations and provide valued trusted advice on an ongoing basis with a view to realising long term profitability.

What you'll be doing

  • To build, grow and maintain actual and effective working associations with suppliers, clients, and internal resources to oversee both Client Contracts, Supplier Contracts and Internal Project related activity.
  • Ensure 3rd party services are delivered in accordance with contracts and regulatory requirements, managing flow down obligations from client contracts to that end.
  • Ensure 3rd party services conform to Diligenta's regulatory objectives and respects end customers
  • Management of contractual and commercial policies and processes for Diligenta's clients and suppliers.
  • Own both the Supplier Management Policy and the Due Diligence framework within Diligenta and be responsible for embedding its use across the business.
  • Resolution of commercial escalations across suppliers and functional areas.
  • Lead procurement exercises, negotiating agreements and terms that are robust with a strong emphasis on value and delivery
  • Participate in client bids where 3rd party services are included and managing the appropriate elements of due diligence and implementation.
  • Identify opportunities using 3rd party solutions to grow Diligenta and take responsibility for the negotiation of additional services to the client
  • Maintain and improve key high-level reports which give senior management an oversight of key contracts
  • Full awareness of changing legislation with impacts on commercial elements within Diligenta

What we're looking for

  • Outsourcing & Financial Services: Experience working in an outsourced environment or with outsourcing vendors, particularly within financial services, is essential. This includes managing large client contracts in complex settings.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven experience operating at a strategic level, preferably in multi-site or matrix organisations.
  • Procurement Expertise: Demonstrated success in procurement, including the ability to identify and drive performance improvement opportunities.
  • Commercial Negotiation: Over 10 years of experience in commercial negotiations, with effective communication and influencing skills.
  • CIPD (Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply): Certification or strong knowledge of procurement best practices.
