Are you experienced in training, coaching and developing others? Do you thrive on building capability and shaping and evolving training materials and new ways of working? If so, we now have a great opportunity to join our high-profile Local Land Charges (LLC) Programme as a Technical Trainer.

The Local Land Charges (LLC) register was launched in the Summer of 2018, and we need your expertise, enthusiasm and drive to further roll out this new service and contribute to the industrialisation of the Local Land Charges Programme.

Working across the programme's Data Transformation Team, in this role you will build the capability of colleagues by delivering high quality, professional technical training within both virtual and face to face settings.

Job description

As the Data Transformation Team's Technical Trainer, you will utilise your range of skills, including technical knowledge, communication, enthusiasm and coaching skills, to build capability across the team. You will help shape and evolve training in line with business needs by identifying, creating and implementing new processes, training materials and ways of working. You will also lead in the preparation, delivery and evaluation of training activity.

By providing supportive feedback from a range of activities/live work and taking referrals from learners, you will pass on knowledge, develop a coaching style and ensure appropriate escalation where required.

In this role there is a need for you to be flexible with your working arrangements/hours to meet operational/learner demands, which generally will be 9.30am - 3pm when undertaking training delivery. There will be a regular requirement to travel to deliver face-to-face training in HMLR offices, which may include overnight stays.

Person specification

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate experience in a similar training role and in coaching and/or developing others, as well as a proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines effectively. You will be a positive role model, who is self-motivated and encourages open communication to promote an inclusive work environment. You must also have effective communication skills, both verbally and in writing.

Alongside your salary of £29,484, HM Land Registry contributes £8,541 towards you being a member of the Civil Service Defined Benefit Pension scheme.
