We are excited to represent a dynamic SME in Sussex seeking an L&D Manager to lead their learning and development initiatives. This ongoing temporary position is perfect for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to drive significant impact within a growing company.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Design and implement effective training and development programs tailored to the needs of the organisation, enhancing employee skills and performance.
  • Manage the L&D budget, ensuring all programs deliver maximum return on investment.
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to identify learning needs across all levels of the organisation.
  • Collaborate with department managers to create and implement bespoke training solutions.
  • Oversee the maintenance of all mandatory training records and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and instructors, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in corporate training and development.
  • Facilitate engaging learning activities and workshops for employees.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external training suppliers and consultants.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the L&D team to achieve outstanding results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an L&D Manager, Training Manager or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
  • Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
  • Good computer and database skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for continuous professional development and fostering a learning culture.
