Reed Recruitment (Southampton branch) are recruiting for a Civil Engineer / Site Engineer for one of the Country's leading privately owned Civil Engineering, Building and Surfacing Contractors.

As Site Engineer your key responsibilities and accountabilities will be:
To ensure "line and level" controls are easily understood by operatives.
To assist the Site Managers in his duties and in particular implement instructions with particular regards to:
Making sure work is executed in accordance with method statements
Existing service information is known to operatives
Materials and plant are delivered and stacked carefully
Assist in making and documenting concrete cubes and slump tests
Check formwork and reinforcement for accuracy and is in accordance with drawings
Make sure all materials incorporated in the permanent works are to specification and delivery notes are delivered to site office.
As Site Engineer you will bring the following qualifications, skill and experience:
Essential
- HND Civil Engineering
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer or related role.
- IT literacy – Microsoft Access, Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Commitment to continued professional development
- Strong leadership skills.
- Ability to develop relationships with other staff and Clients
