We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our client's team as a Procurement Manager. The successful candidate will be supporting the Finance Director responsible for strategic planning, developing procurement policies and managing supplier relationships. This is a greenfield position, our client is looking for a Procurement Manager to streamline the supply chain process and set up a efficient procurement function.
Job Title: Procurement Manager
Location: Aldershot, with some travel to sites
Salary: £55,000 - £60,000 p.a.
Type: Permanent, Full-time, Hybrid
Key attributes would include:
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Analytical mindset able to interpret and utilise data effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Key responsibilities would involve:
- Developing and implementing procurement strategies to drive cost savings, efficiency and quality improvements.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure the best terms and conditions
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or discrepancies
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and value enhancement
- Identify potential risks in the procurement process and develop mitigation strategies
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, savings achieved and performance metrics.
