Accelerate Teaching are looking for a part-time Year 2 Teacher, two days per week from September 2024.

Location: At a primary school on the outskirts of Pontefract
Position: Part-Time Year 2 Teacher (2 days per week: Thursday and Friday)
Start Date: September 2024
Contract Duration: 1 year

Nestled on the outskirts of Pontefract, our client primary school is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can flourish. They pride themselves on our close-knit community, supportive staff, and commitment to academic excellence.

The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 2 Teacher to join us to be a part of a primary school team on a part-time basis for one year, starting in September 2024. This position is through the supply agency Accelerate Teaching. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of raising attainment and the ability to inspire and motivate young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and effective lessons tailored to Year 2 pupils.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and well-being.
  • Utilise data and assessment tools to monitor and report on pupil progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community to support student development.

Requirements:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with relevant teaching experience in Key Stage 1.
  • Demonstrable success in raising attainment levels.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and best practices in primary education.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
