The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented PHP developer who will have two responsibilities. Firstly to the ongoing development and updates to our own website. Secondly you will be assisting in the development of our in-house developed CRM and helping to shape the platform going forward. The role covers all aspects of development, from requirements discovery, specification to implementation, front end UI work, to back end data processing, REST API development to server work! We seek someone who thrives in a flexible, fast-paced environment, possesses effective communication skills, the ability to prioritise tasks, and work both independently and alongside our Development Manager.
Strong expertise in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS development and design, with an ability to make changes that allow for CMS front-end user modifications.
Experience with Symfony (PHP framework) would be a bonus, but not essential.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a PHP Developer, specifically with Craft CMS (Version 4), Symfony 2.8+ and front-end technologies, ideally with 5+ years of demonstrable experience.
- Experience with Nuxt configured with server-side rendering, GraphQL, SEOmatic, Neo, and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of integrating and optimizing headless CMS frameworks, responsive and mobile-first design principles, and web performance optimization.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and techniques for tracking user engagement and source.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience with Linux (Ubuntu 22.04) on the webserver side, along with MySQL / MariaDB as the database backend.
Knowledge or exposure to the following would be advantageous:
- Experience of developing specifications based upon client requirements, through to implementing the design.
- UX design and excellent development and testing skills
- Experience of developing CRM systems.
- Redis & Manticore (or Sphinx) search
- Neo4J
- OpenAI / LLM setup & tuning ( or LLMs in general)
- Bash scripting
- Agile methodologies
- Proxmox Hypervisor setup / management
