Financial Accounts Assistant
6 month contract – temporary role

Salary – £24,000 to £26,000 per annum (pro rata)
Full time position.
Hybrid working model.
We are looking for someone to join us during a busy period at Welcome Break. This role would suit someone looking for a 6 month short term position or a contract role.
What will your role look like?
As the Financial Accounts Assistant at Welcome Break, you will involved with preparing revenue reports, preparing various period end journals and reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts.
The role will work closely with the Site Finance Manager and Unit Business Managers to provide the support with calculation of various accruals and charges.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing monthly accruals and prepayment journals for rents and rates, as well as processing all Rent and Service Charge
- Preparing monthly revenue reports for external partners; namely BP, Greggs, KFC and Starbucks.
- Preparing Monthly and Quarterly Turnover Certificates
- Processing additional turnover rent and other month end accruals
- Reconciling designated Balance Sheet accounts for month end
- Collating interim and year end stock/accrual reports and reconcile to SUN accounts
- Recharging utilities to external partners
- Assisting with raising PO's in busy periods
- Assisting with Budget preparation and audit requests
- Assisting the Manager with monthly VAT product checks
About you
Ideally we are looking for someone who has:
- Previous experience in a finance position
- Relevant accounting degree or qualifications
- A good knowledge of excel
- Good numeracy skills
