Quick Staff UK are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an established business based in the Blackwood area of south Wales. On their behalf, we are seeking a Class 1 HGV Driver. This is a temporary to permanent role after 13 weeks. ADR is preferred; however, our client is prepared to invest in the successful candidate and put them through their ADR.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently transport hazardous materials to their designated location in the UK while adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
- Conduct vehicle checks and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of all journeys, including delivery and collection times, and any possible incidents.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service, communicating with customers and responding to any queries or issues.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 Driving Licence
- ADR Certification (desirable) - Class 7 but will be offered by the client
- Valid CPC
- Previous experience transporting hazardous materials (desirable)
- Excellent driving skills and a strong safety record
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Working hours:
- Monday to Friday 40 - 60 hours (1-2 nights out on average)
Salary:
£717 per week (£37,306p.a.)
