Our client a well-established multi-disciplinary consultancy based in West London are actively looking to add a building surveyor / project manager to their growing team. They have offices across the country but due to an exciting pipeline of projects they require a Building Surveyor to join them from their London office. Here they will be focusing on project-based works, contract administration and project management duties on projects across a large array of industry sectors.
**Building Surveyor / Project Manager
Position Overview
- Pre-contract advice on construction, contract or cost aspects of building surveying work including feasibilities.
- Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of existing buildings, identifying defects, preparing detailed reports and providing expert advice on maintenance, repair, and refurbishment strategies.
- Lead building surveying projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
- Preparation of specifications, obtaining tenders and preparing contract documents.
- Provide advice to clients and junior team members on effective approaches to procurement.
- Contract administration, valuation and certification including chairing meetings with associated document preparation.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients - offering strategic guidance on properties, dilapidations, party wall matters and other building-related issues.
- Manage project timelines, budgets and resources effectively.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including clients, contractors and regulatory authorities.
**Building Surveyor / Project Manager
Position Requirements
- MRICS status or working towards
- Extensive experience in Building Surveying within the construction industry with project based works experience being ideal.
- Experience in client facing roles ideally with private consultancy background.
- Valid UK driving licence.

- Salary: £40k - £65k (Guide only - DOE)
