Assistant Paralegal / Paralegal - 12 month FTC

CMS is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated Assistant Paralegals and experienced Real Estate Paralegals to join our Legal Services Unit in our Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool or Edinburgh office on a 12 month fixed term contract.
The role will be focused on supporting one of our energy and utilities clients with documenting land rights in Scotland and England via servitudes and easements. This will include managing your own caseload of transactions, taking client instructions, negotiating the deeds and arranging completions.

About the Role

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Managing a busy caseload of transactions including liaising with the client to obtain instructions;
- Drafting the easement / servitude documentation, negotiating with the counterparty to the transaction and carrying out basic title reviews;
- Updating online trackers;
- Managing completion and post-completion registrations, forms, filing and client signing / reporting requirements.

About You

We are looking for enthusiastic Assistant Paralegals and experienced Real Estate-focused Paralegals. You will have a keen eye for detail with the ability to use your initiative and you must be used to dealing with a large workload. You may have a strong academic background and a degree in law or equivalent qualification. Alternatively, you may be working towards CILEX or have previous time-served Paralegal experience in a Real Estate background.
