ROLE – Mechanical Design Engineer
LOCATION – Bury St Edmunds
TERM - Permanent
SALARY - £30,000 to £40,000 per annum
I am currently recruiting for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the design team of a company working on Special Purpose Machinery in the Bury St Edmunds area.
You will be taking a leading role on projects and assuming a large amount of responsibility, often leading design projects from conception to production.
Ideally, we would like you to:
- Have an HND or a Degree in Engineering
- Be skilled in using 2D and 3D CAD software - Inventor Experience ideally
- Be technically minded
- Have experience designing products/projects from concept to completion
- Have excellent communication skills
- Ideally, have some industry experience
Responsibilities:
- Develop your ideas from concept to production.
- Design products using Inventor - from large scale, to component level
- BOMs and assembly drawings
- Do market research, visit clients and listen to their feedback
- Liaise with suppliers
- Use all manufacturing processes
- Quality test new products
