We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to support our client's subject teams by preparing resources, arranging educational trips and visits, and managing various administrative tasks for Heads of Subject. This role is ideal for someone who is highly organised, proactive, and enjoys working in an educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Administer and book all trips and visits, including transport arrangements as necessary.
  • Manage all photocopiers and machine services within the school, ensuring they are in full working order, serviced regularly, and fully stocked.
  • Liaise with reprographics companies to report issues or faults and maintain sufficient toner levels.
  • Manage onsite engineers and provide bulk photocopying and specialist printing services for staff.
  • Support in the preparation of teaching materials such as photocopying, creating booklets, posters, flashcards, and displays as requested.
  • Handle stock ordering, stock management, tracking, and recording.
  • Administer budget and cost centres associated with the role.
  • Assist with classroom and corridor displays and maintain a well-resourced and tidy central resources room.
  • Plan waste reduction and recycling actions related to photocopying.
  • Attend all directed training and adhere to school policies.
  • Assist in various administrative tasks as directed by the Headteacher, including student supervision and cover for support staff when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • ICT literacy and experience using Google Platforms.
  • Reliable and conscientious with a ‘can do' attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work independently and make decisions when necessary.
  • Professional handling of confidential matters with discretion.
  • Some experience in, or willingness to learn, problem-solving mechanical faults.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good relationships with students and staff.
  • Commitment to personal and continuing professional development.

Desirable:

  • Experience with parent communication platforms such as ‘Reach More Parents', ParentPay, or Squid.
  • Previous experience in a school or educational environment.
  • Design skills and experience working in a print/reprographics room.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Experience or willingness to develop work processes and systems.
  • First Aid qualification or willingness to undertake training.
