What will I be doing?
Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper/finance assistant with a scrupulous eye for detail and a methodical approach to support the Finance Department and Financial Controller with day-to-day bookkeeping activities.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Managing and maintaining the finance system, Xero.
- Inputting purchase invoices and setting up bank payments.
- Creating invoices and tracking invoice payment status.
- Help prepare quarterly VAT returns, monthly management accounts and year end accounts.
- Monitoring cash flow and chasing debtors.
What skills and experience are required?
- Qualified to AAT level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience of working within finance systems, preferably Xero.
- Experience of working in a bookkeeping role for a minimum of 3 years.
What else do I need to know?
This is a permanent role. Part time, 24 hours/week - to work during office hours, but the pattern can be flexible across the week. You will be expected to attend the Harwell office, twice a week.
