Driver Hire Leeds West are working with our client, Leeds City Council who operate a Household Waste Recycling Plant in Kirkstall, Leeds. They are seeking to recruit Class 2 drivers with Ro-Ro Hookloader experience for regular full time ongoing work. The plant is open 7 days a week and you would work a rolling pattern of 4/5 days in 7 over a fortnight including Saturdays and Sundays.
The Benefits:
- £15.24 per hour (Weekdays, first 8 hours) to £24.54 (Sundays) - PAYE Advanced - Holiday Pay Included.
- 13.60 per hour (Weekdays, first 8 hours) to £21.60 (Sundays - PAYE Accrued.

The Role:
- Monday-Sunday rota, alternating between working 4/7 days to 5/7 over 2 week period.
- Start time 07:30 with a minimum 8 hour shift.
- Working with a small team of drivers to transport waste skips from the site to other facilities in the Leeds area.
- Using a Class 2 RO-RO Hookloader.
- Completing vehicle checks, ensuring all records are accurate and operating the vehicle with safety first as the priority at all times.
Requirements:
- Class 2 licence along with CPC and digi tacho.
- Proven experience of operating a Class 2 RO-RO Hookloader within a similar environment is ESSENTIAL.
- The ability to work positively within a team to ensure that all deadlines are met.
- Good communication skills are essential as members of the public will always be on site.
- Reliability is key as well as flexibility.
- Working weekends is essential in this role.
- No more than 6 points on your licence and for minor offences only.
