Teaching and Learning Administrator

Are you an exceptionally organised professional with higher education experience? Are you confident in collaboration and excel in clear communication? Signature Recruitment are seeking a Teaching and Learning Administrator to join our client, a well-known educational institution in London.

This 3-month temporary role starts immediately and is designed to help prepare for the upcoming academic year. Offering a hybrid working structure with two days on campus and a team day every Wednesday. As a Teaching and Learning Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing academic setup and preparing for the year ahead. While there are resits through to the end of August, your primary focus will be on academic setup. This includes preparation for the new academic year. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including managing timetables, handling student and academic queries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with other faculties to ensure smooth academic setup and preparation for the upcoming year. Facilitate communication and coordination, especially regarding timetabling and exams.
  • Set up timetables for modules for the next academic year, ensuring everything aligns correctly. Assist with the administration behind the exam period in August.
  • Field and address queries from students and academics, providing accurate and timely responses.
  • Manage the inbox efficiently, ensuring all communications are handled promptly.
  • Confidently use SITS and Moodle (or KEATS) to set up pages for September and maintain accurate records.
  • Hold meetings with academics to plan assessment deadlines and timetables. Ensure all preparations are in place for the new academic year.

Key Skills:

  • Experience working in a customer-facing environment, with a knowledge of how to address complaints and service setbacks in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Proven experience in managing relationships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders in a professional and assured manner.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Forms, databases, and learning management systems such as Moodle.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and record-keeping skills. Especially when using databases and student records systems to provide management information with a high level of detail and accuracy.
