Children's Home Registered Manager

Location: Oldham, Manchester
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Children's Home Registered Manager for a 3-bed EBD home in Oldham, Manchester. This role offers a clear progression pathway to become a Dual Registered Manager within 12 months and potential future advancement to Responsible Individual (RI).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and compliant environment.
  • Lead and develop the staff team, fostering a culture of excellence, resilience, and continuous improvement.
  • Create, implement, and review individualized care plans, promoting the health, education, and well-being of each child.
  • Ensure the home meets all Ofsted regulations and standards, preparing for and participating in inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with children, families, local authorities, and other stakeholders to meet the children's needs and ensure their voices are heard.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory and statutory obligations.
  • Promote safeguarding and child protection, ensuring a safe environment for all children.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Registered Manager or Deputy Manager within a children's residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures, including safeguarding and child protection.
  • Effective leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and maintaining a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) or equivalent.
  • Valid UK driving licence and access to own vehicle with business insurance.
