IT Support Technician

IT Support, IT Technician, 1st line with some 2nd support, Windows Server, Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) , LAN, Microsoft/ Windows environment, Educational/ Schools industry sector experience desirable.

  • ***Applicants MUST be able to drive and this is based on site 5 days a week with some travel to other sites (use of a company car is available)****

An IT company are looking for an IT Support Technician (mainly 1st line with some 2nd line) to provide technical support and assistance to end-users for computer hardware, software, and network-related issues within the educational/ schooling sector.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Supporting Schools/ educational sector clients
  • Set up and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, backups, and security patches.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions promptly.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Respond to IT support tickets and service requests
