Stanton House has been engaged by a mid-market fund to recruit an Interim CFO for one of their high-growth portfolio companies in the Financial Services sector. The business is pursuing an ambitious buy-and-build strategy, with two acquisitions set to be announced in the coming months and a robust pipeline of future opportunities. This presents an exceptional opportunity to lead a dynamic organisation through a period of rapid expansion and transformation.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Interim CFO will be responsible for:
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders across the group.
- Driving group performance with a focus on organic growth and margin enhancement.
- Overseeing group cash flow, liquidity, and funding requirements.
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations, including Client Money policies and procedures.
- Leading and mentoring a finance team of approximately 12, spread across two locations.
- Spearheading group-wide cost reduction and efficiency initiatives.
- Developing and managing growth reporting metrics and forecasting tools.
- Enhancing group-wide reporting and overseeing key financial workstreams.
- Improving the business's BI/MI reporting capabilities.
- Leading strategic projects, such as optimising operating systems, corporate structures, and trading models.
To be suitable, you must have the following:
- Qualified Accountant (preferably ACA).
- Proven experience as a CFO within Private Equity-backed businesses is essential.
- 10+ years of senior finance leadership (FD/CFO level), demonstrating a track record of success.
- Extensive Financial Services expertise, with a focus on General Insurance.
- Low ego, high emotional intelligence, with a genuine desire to lead and collaborate at a business level.
- Strong background in leading Buy & Build initiatives.
- Immediate availability to start within 2 weeks.
