We are recruiting for a Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner to work in the Access to Intervention Team on the Isle of Wight. The hourly rate is £30 ph paid via umbrella.
This role is to commence ASAP and will be working full time. The hours of work are flexible and can incorporate a 09:00 - 17:00 shift pattern or three x 13.5 hour shift per week.
The role of the Band 6 Mental Health Practitioner will be to work as part of the Access to Intervention service for all referrals into adult mental health on the Isle of Wight. The post holder will have a professional qualification and will have experience of working with service users experiencing mental health concerns and providing crisis mental health assessments and interventions.
The key responsibilities of the Band 6 MHP are:
- To play an active role in the triaging, processing and assessment of referrals made to Access to Intervention, over a 24 hour period.
- To ensure and take responsibility for the provision of comprehensive mental health assessments of needs and risks of people referred to the service.
- To take responsibility for planning and the delivery of care to people requiring an acute and intensive community crisis response from this service.
- To plan and take responsibility in collaborating with service users and other services/agencies on how their needs will be met on exit from this service.
- To be active in the development of the service and development of professional practice and role.
