Freelance Site Engineer - Concrete Works (12-Month Contract)

Location: Sheffield
Contract Start: Late November 2024
Contract Duration: 12 Months
We are seeking an experienced Freelance Site Engineer that specializes in Concrete works to join a major civil engineering project starting in November 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting out and QA of RC and Concrete works over a 12 month period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting out reinforced concrete pits (3-10 meters deep), walls, and bases
- Installation of embedded items, such as bolt groups and pipes
- Supervising the construction of concrete slabs, drainage systems, pipework, and gullies
- Ensuring accurate measurements and alignment for all reinforced concrete structures
- Coordinating with Project Management team and Main Contractor Team
- Maintaining and updating records, drawings, and site documentation
- Perform QA/QC
- Produce relevant documents and records
The Candidate:
- Site Engineer with a strong background in Civils and Concrete Works
- Strong background in working with reinforced concrete structures and embedded items
- Proficiency with Robotic Total Station and use of AutoCAD
- A solid understanding of health and safety standards on construction sites
- CSCS is essential for the role
