We are currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Finance to join a thriving SME located in Braintree. The business has grown considerably over the last few years as they strive to become industry-leaders within their specialised sector.

Responsibilities:
As a Head of Finance, you will...

  • Be accountable for maintaining strong financial management and ensuring that operations function smoothly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and foster professional relationships by delivering comprehensive commercial insights regarding inventory, profitability, margin analysis and more.
  • Serve as a commercial partner to the Managing Director, supporting business strategy, identifying opportunities for process and technological enhancements, and taking leadership on the financial aspects of business decisions.
  • Take lead on various financial projects and supporting the Managing Director with budgeting, forecasting, internal financial reporting, KPI's, and cashflow.

Requirements:
As a Head of Finance, you will need...

  • Proficiency in analysing P&L statements and company accounts, having a strong grasp of the factors influencing profitability and cost management.
  • Expertise in preparing annual budgets and forecasts, coordinating with other leaders to prioritise expenses.
  • Proven examples of implementing new systems and strategies.
  • An established accounting qualification.
