Role Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join our client school full-time from September 2024. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 6 class, preparing them for the transition to secondary school, and ensuring they achieve their best in their final year of primary education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active learning.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on students' progress, providing feedback to students and parents.
  • Support students' social and emotional development, helping them to build confidence and resilience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share best practices and resources.
  • Prepare students for end-of-key-stage assessments and secondary school transition.
  • Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 6 or upper Key Stage 2.
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment requirements for Year 6.
  • Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • A positive, proactive, and flexible approach to teaching and school life.
