GTS Group are looking to speak with experienced procurement & supply chain managers to join our customer, a pioneer in their industry who is developing an electrical product for the grid
We are seeking a Procurement and Supply Chain Lead to oversee our procurement and supply chain operations. In this role, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership and governance for purchasing procedures, analyzing supply chain metrics, costs, lead times, and service levels.
- Source and procure products and services to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of Hypercharger systems.
- Achieve sustainable cost savings across an annual budget of £10 million.
- Ensure all procured products meet quality standards.
- Support contract negotiations and conduct risk assessments to minimize business risks.
- Assist in demand forecasting and inventory planning.
Your leadership will be crucial in developing an agile and flexible supply chain to support our business scale and maintain high customer service levels for long-term market growth.
Key Responsibilities of the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager:
- Drive efficient value from sourcing activities as we transition from product development to commercialisation.
- Source long-term value from the supply chain to support profitable scaling.
- Optimize procurement processes to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
About the Procurement & Supply Chain Manager:
- Proven track record in power system product supply and bringing innovations to market.
- Experience in SMEs is desirable.
- Highly collaborative with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Degree educated, ideally with CIP level 5 or working towards it.
