Role Overview:

We are looking for a compassionate and enthusiastic Children's Support Worker to join our school community. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other support staff to provide tailored assistance to children with diverse needs, ensuring they receive the support necessary to achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to children with varying needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior support plans.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive environment that promotes the social, emotional, and academic development of all students.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other school staff to monitor and report on student progress.
  • Support students in developing social skills, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
  • A relevant qualification in childcare, education, or a related field is desirable.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of child development and behavioral management strategies.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
