SWITCHBOARD OPERATOR - 27.5 HOURS
Based in Newcastle Under Lyme
Temporary for up to 6 months
Rate of pay from £11.44ph - £20.93ph (dependant on shift)
Adecco are looking for a part time Switchboard Operator to support our Public Sector client within their busy Telecommunications Department for up to 6 months.
Working a total of 27.5 hours a week across 4 days, applicants MUST be fully flexible as you will be required to cover a variety of shifts any time between 6am and 10pm, Monday - Sunday on a rota basis.
If you are flexible, patient and able to remain calm under pressure in all circumstances, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Duties will involve:
- Operating a busy 24/7 telephone switchboard/service centre
- Handling a wide range of calls including internal inquiries, patient and patient relative queries and calls from healthcare professionals
- Implementing emergency procedures in accordance with Trust protocols
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, clients, suppliers, and staff
- Provide general information and support to callers
Previous experience in a customer service role is essential and experience working within a fast-paced telecommunications department would be beneficial.
