This strategic Head of Commercial Analytics role is designed to drive revenue growth and support commercial planning across the business. The position will enhance revenue forecasting methods, establish robust performance-tracking tools, and embed a trading cycle that closely monitors progress against targets. The ideal candidate will bring a strong commercial focus, adding insight and rigor to the analytics function while fostering a deeper understanding of performance drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage processes for accurate and timely revenue forecasting, scenario modeling, and performance analysis to support business decisions.
  • Lead in-depth performance analysis, focusing on uncovering root causes rather than just reporting metrics, to guide improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, promoting a culture of curiosity and fresh thinking that informs impactful decision-making.
  • Partner with the BI product team, leveraging current tools to derive insights and explore new revenue opportunities.
  • Establish a commercial trading cycle to consistently monitor and respond to performance metrics, supporting ambitious revenue goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will balance deep analytical expertise with commercial awareness, taking a proactive approach to generate insights that influence strategic decisions. This individual will be curious, collaborative, and effective in navigating complex revenue structures to provide valuable insights.

  • Commercial Acumen: Proven experience in revenue forecasting and scenario modeling, with a strategic understanding of revenue generation.
  • Analytical Skills: High proficiency in managing large data sets, advanced Excel skills, and experience with BI tools, with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective Communication: Confident communicator, skilled in presenting complex insights to stakeholders at all levels in a clear and impactful manner.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Logical and lateral thinker, adept at tackling complex issues while balancing business needs and compliance requirements.
  • Project Management: Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects to achieve timely, effective results.
  • Collaboration: A team player who promotes teamwork and builds strong relationships across departments to achieve shared goals.
  • Self-Motivated: Proactive, self-directed, and capable of independently identifying areas for improvement and implementing impactful changes.

This hybrid role requires 1-2 days per week at the Midlands office and occasional travel to regional hubs as necessary. Salary £60,000 - £80,000 (dependent on experience) + car allowance, bonus c 10%, life assurance, pension.
