We are looking for a dynamic and highly organised Media Assistant with strong interpersonal and communication skills to support our Media Team.
The successful candidate will support the team to build a high media profile for the Society.

You will be responsible for monitoring the daily news agenda and managing the team's media distribution service, recruiting and developing the Society's Storyteller base and supporting the media team to promote the Society in national, consumer and trade media.

About you

  • You will already have an understanding of the media and its requirements and possess a great news sense as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • You must have experience of working in a busy, fast-paced environment and have excellent organisational and prioritising skills.
  • You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a good telephone manner and an ability to empathise with personal stories and experiences.

Person Specification

  • Verbal and written communication skills to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent IT skills and extensive experience/knowledge of using Microsoft packages.
  • Work collaboratively and be able to prioritise your workload effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and great attention to detail
  • Advocate for Alzheimer's Society, demonstrating passion and resilience to make a difference.
  • Be a self-starter and incredibly motivated.
