Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
- Ensure students understand and apply scientific concepts in a practical, real-world context.
- Monitor and assess student progress through regular feedback, coursework, and exams, supporting them in achieving their full potential.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom, implementing behaviour management strategies when necessary.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers to create an engaging and innovative science curriculum.
- Provide additional support to students who require help in understanding challenging topics.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in science education and incorporate them into your teaching.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in Science or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the UK science curriculum, with the ability to teach Biology, Chemistry, or Physics confidently.
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
- Passionate about inspiring students to develop a love for science.
