Your new company
You will be joining a large national facilities management contractor, who, due to an increase in work load, are looking to add a handy person to their on-site team, covering 2 key sites in the East of Edinburgh.
Your new role
You will be working at 2 sites as their handy-person, liaising with the contract manager daily to work through planned maintenance work, while being able to respond to reactive repairs/emergencies as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performing routine maintenance and repairs on hospital facilities, mostly focused on basic joinery/building fabric repairs.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of hospital events and functions.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff and hospital departments to ensure efficient operations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have experience in a similar role, ideally working within a care/medical environment. Due to the role covering 2 key sites, you will need to have a valid UK Driving Licence to be considered for this position. We do not require you to have a CSCS card.
What you'll get in return
You will be offered an immediate start with an initial agreed upon temporary contract, which has a high possibility of going permanent for the right individual. You will be paid weekly via Hays on a PAYE basis, with the option for accrued annual leave.
