Assistant Financial Controller| Worksop| to £38,000 | Office based
We are currently seeking an Assistant
Financial Controller
to join a rapidly growing SME. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of the business.
This role offers a variety of day-to-day tasks, but a significant part of the role will involve project work focusing on improving efficiencies within the finance team and across the wider business. If you're looking for a role where you can make your mark and really make a difference, this is it!
The ideal candidate will be part-qualified (
AAT
/
CIMA
/
ACCA
or equivalent), with at least 3 years of working within a Finance department. The company will offer study support to assist with you becoming qualified.
Some of the Key Responsibilities
- ..

- You will be responsible for preparing the month-end journals and other month-end procedures
- You will be responsible for reconciling the balance sheet
- Assist with month and year-end reporting to stakeholders
- Assist with the preparation of board packs
- You will work closely with external accountants on tax and audit requirements
- Look at ways to improve processes and streamline
- Act as number 2 to the Financial Controller
Who the client is looking for
- Ideally you will be Part Qualified AAT/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years in Finance
- Have the desire to look at processes with a view to improving and streamlining them
- Have a can-do attitude and a desire to complete Accountancy studies
- Experience of Sage 200 and Excel
