Housing and Support Administrative Assistant

  • Job Type: 30 hours on a shift rota including weekends
  • Location: Ealing (flexibility to work at any location within the organisation)
  • Salary: £23337.31

Shift pattern: (must be available to work for all shifts)

8am - 2pm

10am - 4pm

4pm - 10pm

We are seeking a dedicated Housing and Support Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality housing and support services to our residents. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for providing information, advice, and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our residents and visitors.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents and visitors, providing information and directing queries to appropriate staff.
  • Monitor building access, manage entry/exit logs, and ensure a secure environment.
  • Handle administrative tasks including operating IT systems, managing telephone switchboard, sorting post, and processing payments.
  • Conduct regular building patrols, perform wellbeing and facilities checks, and maintain Health and Safety standards.
  • Act as a designated first aider and fire marshal, managing emergency evacuations when necessary.
  • Support the Housing and Support team with administrative duties related to resident intake, rent processing, and maintenance issue logging.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven administrative experience, preferably within a housing support or similar environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills.
  • Competency in IT systems and proficiency in relevant software applications.
  • Ability to work effectively on a shift rota, including weekends.
  • First aid qualification and willingness to act as a fire marshal (training provided if necessary).
