Job Title: Head of Finance
Job description: We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance based in Manchester
Contract duration: Fixed term for 18 months
Working hours: Full time
Duties will include:
- Overseeing the financial operations of the team such as account payable, payroll and treasury
- Engaging with external stakeholders regarding commercial partnerships and new contract negotiations
- Responsible for overseeing the financial management
- Managing, financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting
- Communicating with national and international auditors and tax specialists
- Manages all financial software's to ensure data integrity
- Oversees monthly management accounts to meet deadlines
- Present KPI's and financial analysis to internal and external colleagues
- Creates financial plans and business models for new ventures
- Provides expertise and advice to inform discussions and decision making
- Train and advise colleagues on financial procedures
- Communicates with other colleagues regarding improving systems and procedures
- Develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Supports change within a complex team and generate new plans
- Review cash flow requirements
- Delivers budget results and achieves growth whilst ensuring financial implications are being obliged
The successful candidate:
- Have great leadership skills and can manage and inspire others
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills who promotes great customer service to external stakeholders
- Works proactively within a large and complex team
- Have excellent analytical skills who can convert financial data into management information
- Can manage projects and complex processes within budget, whilst in a face paced environment
- Have knowledge of financial policies and regulations
- Have previous experience and knowledge of different currencies and international experience
- Knowledge of higher education in the UK and has a degree level
- Have a CCAB professional accountancy qualification or equivalent
