Goods Inward/Warehouse Operative
Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire
Salary: £28k depending on experience
Hours: Mon - Thurs 7.45am - 4.15pm and Fri 7.45am - 1.15pm
Our client is a multi award winning, independent, global organisation with an enviable reputation in the clinical research, development & manufacturing sector. Due to the company's continued Global expansion in the delivery of our World leading, pre-clinical multi-modality imaging systems, the following vacancy, based at their facility in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, has been created. They are looking to recruit a Goods Inward/Warehouse Operative who is ambitious, and detail orientated to join the team.
Role
On a day-to-day basis, the Good Inward/Warehouse Operative will be responsible for the daily running of the warehouse as per the responsibilities below -
- Loading & Unloading vehicles
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods against purchase orders & delivery notes
- Unpack, label and store incoming goods in designated locations
- Pick parts to work orders and move to the correct manufacturing production cell
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements and transactions using inventory MRP/ERP system
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and ware procedures
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and free from hazards
- Collaborate with team members to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
- Follow all safety protocols & procedures to ensure a safe working environment
Requirements & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a warehouse
- Ability to lift heavy objects and work in a physically demanding role
- Familiarity with inventory management software systems
- Good computer skills include MS Word & Excel
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy in record-keeping
- Excellent organisational & interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of warehouse operations & procedures
- Forklift certification
