Reed Education is seeking a dedicated ICT Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Lancaster. This long-term position is set to begin in September. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the ICT curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing an engaging educational environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Delivering ICT lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
  • Creating an interactive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and learning.
  • Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting goals to promote academic success.
  • Employing effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff to share resources and strategies, contributing to the school's vision.
  • Serving as a positive role model for students, embodying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, and active listening.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Recent experience teaching ICT at KS3 and KS4 levels, with KS5 experience being beneficial.
  • Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice with strong subject knowledge and management skills.
  • A reliable and committed individual who is keen to engage with students and act as a positive role model.
  • Good interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on punctuality, patience, and confidence in working with young people.
