Reed Education is seeking a dedicated ICT Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Lancaster. This long-term position is set to begin in September. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of the ICT curriculum, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to nurturing an engaging educational environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Delivering ICT lessons in accordance with the national curriculum for KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being advantageous.
- Creating an interactive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and learning.
- Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and setting goals to promote academic success.
- Employing effective classroom management techniques to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Collaborating with teaching staff to share resources and strategies, contributing to the school's vision.
- Serving as a positive role model for students, embodying qualities such as compassion, trustworthiness, and active listening.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Recent experience teaching ICT at KS3 and KS4 levels, with KS5 experience being beneficial.
- Demonstrated excellence in classroom practice with strong subject knowledge and management skills.
- A reliable and committed individual who is keen to engage with students and act as a positive role model.
- Good interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on punctuality, patience, and confidence in working with young people.
