As a DT Technician, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and students in the Design and Technology department. Your experience and expertise will help create an inspiring and productive learning atmosphere where students can excel in their practical work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Practical Lessons: Assist teachers in preparing materials and setting up equipment for practical lessons, ensuring all tools and machinery are in proper working condition.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, conducting routine checks, and maintaining equipment.
  • Stock Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering new materials as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the department.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to students during practical sessions, helping them to develop their skills and complete projects successfully.
  • Workshop Maintenance: Maintain and organise the workshop, ensuring that all machinery and equipment are clean, serviced, and stored correctly.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a DT Technician or in a similar role is essential.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine interest in supporting students in their learning journey and fostering a creative environment.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of DT tools, machinery, and health and safety procedures.
  • Organisation: Ability to manage time and resources effectively, ensuring lessons are well-prepared and the workshop is well-maintained.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic school environment, working closely with both staff and students to enhance the learning experience in the Design and Technology department.
