Implementation Manager

  • Salary: £500 – 550 per day depending on experience

Reed Professional Services are seeking an experienced Implementation Manager to join the dynamic team at one of are FTSE 100 clients to work closely with the Commercial team. This role is crucial during the complex technical implementation period, where you will be the driving force ensuring successful integration and go-live of technology projects.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Plan and execute technical implementation events, ensuring all activities align with project goals.
  • Manage operational readiness, including criteria and checkpoints, to prepare for a smooth transition.
  • Serve as a liaison between technical implementation and business readiness, coordinating UAT, training, and machine readiness.
  • Support Technology and business teams during the rollout period, overseeing early life support processes.
  • Provide regular updates to manage expectations and maintain transparency throughout the implementation phase.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, supporting Test Managers through testing and defect resolution.
  • Create and maintain implementation documentation, and manage implementation/change requests.
  • Act as a systems integrator to ensure compliance and efficient implementation of integrated systems.
  • Prioritise tasks and provide technical troubleshooting support.
  • Facilitate Go/No Go Checkpoint meetings with stakeholders and obtain necessary sign-offs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in guiding projects through integration, implementation, and go-live.
  • Ability to provide technical expertise and structure effective implementations.
  • Experience in managing workflows and providing technical coordination to project teams.
  • Skilled in risk, issue, and dependency management.
  • Familiarity with corporate tools like Service Now for implementation/change requests.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical terms in understandable language.
  • Expertise in technical implementation tasks such as IP allocation, certificates, firewalls, VPN connectivity, Citrix, user accounts/permissions, etc.
  • Experience in logistics or consultancy is desirable.
