Test Facilities Support Technician

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Test Facilities Support Technician to join our client's inclusive and friendly team. This full-time support role is based in Coventry and offers an Umbrella rate of £27.08 per hour (Inside IR35). In this role you will work within the Cross Functional Test Facilities across various sites (Whitley, Gaydon, Ansty Park and Lyons Park).

As a Test Facilities Support Technician, you will work within the Cross Functional Test Facilities Team, which is part of Engineering Operations. You will also deliver facilities support to the Test Operations team, which has as its objective achieving timely, quality product releases through supporting the overall product cycle plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate recording of faults, assist with rectification and further actions required.
  • Calibration of test beds and standalone equipment as per schedule or request trough system.
  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules to be followed and adhered to maximise equipment up time.
  • Single Point Lessons (SPLs), Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) to be followed and amended as the work changes.

  • Supporting EO activities under the control of EO-10026
  • Ensure the safe, smooth, efficient and effective operation of the EO Test Facilities used for Product Development.
  • Demonstrate safe working practices throughout in line with the Company's `Destination Zero` policies and you will understand the responsibility you owe to yourself and to others in the workplace.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Calibration of test equipment (Temperature Sensors, Pressure & Dynamometers) &
  • Instrumentation Knowledge
  • Experience on electrical maintenance & breakdown
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Office competency to produce plans, presentations, graphs, process and SPL documents.

Preferred:

  • Experience of calibration, maintenance and repair of emission measurement equipment and systems.
  • Experience in EDU / E machine.
  • Experience in the operation of data acquisition and automation systems, and data quality tools including Concerto and Tableau.

Education
NVQ 3 or 4 years relevant technical experience in core competence.
Ideally educated to level 4 qualification in Engineering, Science or Mathematical discipline.
