Our client is seeking a Junior Risk Oversight and Control Associate to join their dynamic team in London. The successful candidate will be part of a team that plays a crucial role in implementing the risk framework across all business lines, ensuring maximum control, efficiency, and transparency. What you'll do:
As a Junior Risk Oversight and Control Associate, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency within our client's organisation. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with administrative tasks, supporting risk specialists, delivering accurate reports, managing product approval processes, and contributing towards policy adherence. You will also be responsible for completing business risk dashboards and collating business input for conduct dashboards. This role requires a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

  • Assist the Head of UK Process & Control with administrative activities relating to the day-to-day operating efficiency of the function
  • Support 1st Line of Defence risk specialists in duties relating to the risk framework including undertaking monitoring of key risk controls and delivery of the risk instruments in line with policy
  • Deliver accurate and concise complaints management reporting to the relevant UK governance forum & NL complaints team
  • Own the Product Approval process, ensuring process documents reflect any updates / improvements
  • Take responsibility for completion of business risk dashboards and collate business input for the conduct dashboard
  • Contribute to ensuring demonstrable adherence to policies relating to license to operate activities

  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Willingness to learn and undertake a variety of tasks in relation to the efficient operating of the first line of defence function
  • Knowledge of risk management within a relevant degree or previous work experience would be highly beneficial
  • Good interpersonal skills and excellent service orientation
  • Ability to manage own time to meet agreed targets; develops plans for short-term work activities
  • Good credibility, trustworthiness, problem solving, task management and self-management competencies
