This key government department is looking to recruit a Financial Data Modeller who will be based in Central London and be responsible for developing and maintaining complex financial models for supporting data for all products.

Description

The Financial Modeller will own all aspects of the financial model and will work with a wide range of stakeholders to understand and scrutinise inputs and assumptions.

Your duties will include:

  • Designing and rebuilding product costing models and ensuring the data is up to date and relevant.
  • Ensuring the model is regularly updated, remains accurate and incorporates any new products.
  • Leading on flexible modelling tools for cost efficiency changes and projects, helping to drive efficient cost objectives, including recharging and costing products/services.
  • Working closely with stakeholders to gather and interrogate product data and provide challenge on quality.
  • Using data to ensure pricing and cancellation policies provide Value for Money for external customers and maintains financial sustainability.
  • Lead on data to identify implications on total resources across different teams and budget development.
  • Providing financial data from the various models (costing model, scenario planning) for forecasting, budgeting and pricing.

Profile

The successful Financial Modeller will have experience managing staff and have worked in a similar role and be able to identify relevant data from business information to calculate cost of goods sold.

A strong analytical background in revenue and demand forecasting, statistical analysis and presentation is essential. You will need to be able to demonstrate practical experience of building finance models to allocate and forecast revenue and costs.

Previous exposure using data analysis software such as R, Python, SQL, Excel and PowerBI is required.

Job Offer

The Financial Modeller offers a salary up to £58,800 plus an attractive benefits scheme including access to a civil service pension and hybrid working.
