Accounts Assistant Permanent Based in Dorking (parking available) Hybrid (3 days in the office and 2 days at home) £25,000 - £30,000 per annum plus further benefits Ref: TA3271
Tony Alan Recruitment currently has an exciting job opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to join a well-known and growing business in the Dorking area on a permanent basis.
You will be joining a finance team of 4 people to support the Management Accountant with a broad range of financial duties across purchase ledger, sales ledger and management accounting.
Your duties will include:
- Process supplier invoices and coding
- Supplier statement reconciliations
- Processing staff expenses and credit card expenses
- Generate and deliver fortnightly payment runs for both suppliers and staff
- Ensure purchase ledger continually reconciles with nominal ledger
- Resolve any supplier queries ensuring a speedy and efficient response
- Ensure all sales invoices and credit notes are raised in a timely and accurate manner
- Chase outstanding debt and ensure money is collected on time
- Allocate incoming payments to customer accounts and accounts database
- Produce and review aged debtors report
- Bank reconciliations
- Assist the Management Accountant with month end duties such as accruals, pre-payments and fixed assets register
- Pro-actively engage with internal stakeholders
- Assist with preparation of VAT return
Key requirements:
- Experience of working in a similar role is essential
- You must be confident and pro-active in your work approach
- Good excel skills
- Strong communication skills
