Technical Accountant

Sellick Partnership are recruiting for an Interim Technical Accountant (Financial Services) for a new group of growth focussed Insurance companies.

You will be the lead on the production and maintenance of the Group's accounting policies manual and ensure its compliance with relevant regulations and rules and be the key point of contact internally and externally when challenged on the designed accounting treatments.

As the Technical Accountant you will have high visibility and a key role in the development of the groups policies. You will own the development and writing of key policies and procedures and ensure these are modified as new regulations are released.

Technical Accountant

  • Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant technical and regulatory reporting requirements and accounting standards and rules including Solvency II, UK GAAP financial reporting and taxation.
  • Produce and maintain the Group's accounting policies manual to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Maintain documentation which supports financial reporting policies and procedures, including those relating to financial reporting control standards.

The Technical Accountant will have significant experience developing policies and writing accounting manuals and have previously had full ownership in this area previously.

Ideally coming from a (ACA, ACCA) background, with significant experience in the insurance industry (Life or GI will be considered) and a solid knowledge of accounting standards and rules including Solvency II, UK GAAP financial reporting and taxation.
