QHSE Coordinator/Manager
Location - Leicester
Office based with one day traveling to Manchester
Salary £32,000 - £38,000 (Depending on Experience)

The QHSE Coordinator role will support the Compliance Director to coordinate and develop the Quality, safety, health environment processes within the business.
The role requires 50% emphasis on Quality 9001:2015 management, so this should be your main strength & interest.
The role would suit someone with some qualifications and 1-2 years' experience of QHSE processes - keen to learn and progress their career and, in time, assume overall responsibility for QHSE within our group.
We are a privately owned, engineering-led, manufacturing company, and we need someone with a "can-do, practical" approach. You should enjoy both desk-based, meticulous, working, as well as spending time on the shopfloor, understanding the products and the manufacturing processes.

Job Specification

Advise line management and assist with the implementation of new or existing QHSE related legislation, rules and Company standards.
Undertake prevention & improvement inspections on a regular basis and ensure records maintained of same
Investigate accidents and ensure all documentation is updated
Work with HSE representatives to manage and improve environmental & safety performance
Support a monthly QHSE Communication Strategy for all sites and levels of staff, to include written information, tool box talks and management briefs
Perform ISO audits to plan
Undertake QHSE risk assessments on a regular basis
Monitor and report non-conformances ie. Internal and external rejects
Monitor and report accidents and accident stats
Assist and support customer and ISO internal and external audits
Manage and maintain customer compliance platforms ie. Risqs, uvdb, Ecovadis
Assist in maintaining and improving all current quality accreditations (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001:2015) and work towards the attainment of new quality accreditations (ISO45001:2018).
Provide support and expertise to line management in incident investigation and reporting (including dangerous occurrences and occupational diseases)
Monitor employee off-site compliance accreditations ie. CSCS, National Grid etc.
Support/lead internal QHSE training ie. Manual handling, toolbox talks etc.

Qualifications Desirable

Environmental Management Systems Qualification
ISO9001, 14001 and 45001 knowledge and auditing
Nebosh certificate

Experience Essential

Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a QHSE Role, ideally in a technical or manufacturing environment
Significant knowledge of, and interest in, ISO9001:2015
Internal auditing, Compliance and maintenance of relevant standards, Risk Assessment experience, an understanding of and the ability to interpret SHEQ-related legislation.
Knowledge of Safety and Environmental legislation compliance applied to working situations.
Excellent verbal, written and pc communication skills
Experience of quality management systems and process control.
Experience of BSI ISO 9001, BSI ISO 14001 and BSI ISO45001 standards

Package and Additional Information

You will be based at our Leicester site, but will be required to travel to our Manchester site from time to time as required.
Permanent day shift working Monday to Friday 37 hours.
Full-time, Permanent (although we will consider 30 hours
Hours 8.30 to 5.00 Mon to Thurs, Friday 8.30 to 1.00 (? hour lunch)
Salary £32k - £38k (depending on experience)
