A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a maintenance engineer to join a world-renowned manufacturing company who supply 1st class products to various industries including, food & healthcare.
Job Description:
- Carry out planned maintenance on plant & equipment to a high standard
- Respond to breakdowns on Production machines
- Install and relocate production equipment
- Specify & order spare parts
- Complete maintenance records
- Complete all paperwork required to place orders and book in parts
- Read Mechanical Drawings
- Carry out Mechanical Fault finding
- Carry out Pneumatic/hydraulic Fault Finding
- Carry out basic Electrical Fault Finding
- Record work carried out on a daily Time Sheet
- Liaise with Contractors
- Liaise with suppliers
- Liaise with Engineering Companies
- Liaise with other departments
- Health & Safety. Responsible for self and others
- Assist with Stock Takes
- Ensure a good working relationship with all Departments
- Work overtime when required
Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Recognised Mechanical qualification (e.g. NVQ/City & Guilds/BTEC HNC)
- PC Literate with knowledge of Microsoft software
- Experience working in a high-speed, high-pressure production environment
- Experience within the Printing / Packaging Industry desirable
- Multi-skilled – Mechanically Biased
- Highly responsible and conscientious
- Work well under pressure
- Good communicator
- Reliable and flexible with strong work ethic.
- Able to effectively prioritise and adapt to variable workload.
- Punctual, presentable and with good attendance.
- Will be working in very fast paced environment so you must be experienced in dealing with pressure and be highly organised with an ability to multi-task and manage ones own time.
- Pro-active and can-do attitude required.
- Able to prioritise jobs
- Works well in a team and on ones own.
Additional Details:
- 12-hour shifts – days & nights – 4 on 4 off
- £42,663 per annum
