The Role:
As Senior Risk Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and protecting the organisation's assets and reputation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong risk management experience to lead from the front and make a tangible impact in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Risk Management: Build and implement a comprehensive framework to identify and mitigate risks across all departments.
  • Controls & Assessment: Conduct regular risk reviews and enhance financial and operational controls.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain process maps and key risk control matrices.
  • Policy Leadership: Take ownership of risk policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay up to date with regulatory standards and ensure full compliance.
  • Risk Reporting: Develop dashboards to track risk status and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Audit Preparation: Support external audit preparation with accurate and timely documentation.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key business units to ensure an integrated approach to risk management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive ongoing improvements through structured processes

About You:
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualifications: Risk, Audit, or Accounting qualifications (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: Significant experience in risk management, ideally in a fast-moving environment.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of risk frameworks, financial controls, and compliance.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and coach teams effectively.
  • Process Improvement: Experience in delivering change management and driving efficiency.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strategic approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the business.
